“Multicultural Kids” me ha facilitado un ejemplar de este libro para que lo lea y lo comente. Los comentarios y opiniones de este post son 100% míos y son completamente honestos.
La fotografía es una de mis pasiones y la diversidad cultural es otra de ellas, por eso al oír hablar de este libro supe que me iba a gustar, y efectivamente así ha sido.
Está compuesto por una serie de fotos de niños de diferentes lugares del mundo, unas fotos por cierto preciosas y que capturan la energía y la inocencia de los niños que aparecen en ellas. Las fotos van acompañadas de un texto, que en realidad es la letra de una canción (que podéis descargar gratis al comprar el libro) que habla de la belleza de la diversidad y de cómo todos somos diferentes y únicos pero a la vez tenemos muchas cosas en común. El hecho de que el texto tenga rima y se repitan ciertas frases es perfecto para atraer y mantener la atención de los niños, y les ayuda a desarrollar el lenguaje.
Además de un libro muy llamativo por la belleza de las imágenes, me parece una herramienta perfecta para que los niños aprendan sobre la diversidad cultural y racial.

Photography is one of my passions and cultural diversity is another one of them, so when I heard about this book I knew I would enjoy it, and I was right.
It consists of a series of photos of children from around the world, they are beautiful photos that capture the energy and innocence of the children who appear in them. The photos are accompanied by the lyrics of a song (which you can download when buy the book) which talks about the beauty of diversity and how we are all different and unique but also have many things in common. The fact that the text has rhyme and repetition is perfect to attract and hold the attention of children, and helps them develop language.
In addition to the striking beauty of the images the book, I think it's a great tool for children to learn about cultural and racial diversity.
